Participants can attend a one to three day Nature based Equine Enhanced Wellness Retreat. By day, Participants spend time out in nature, surrounded by horses, and at night, sleep in beautiful bell tents, glamping style. Our herd are trained therapy horses which means that they have been assessed and trained where necessary to ensure safety and well-being around them. The horses will, both challenge and support participants as they move through the Camp Program, each session learning something about themselves and something about horses. Support workers are welcome to accompany Participants.

Prior horse experience is not necessary.
‘I am trained in an equine assisted psychotherapy model (at The Equine Psychotherapy Institute), which means that I can work safely with people from all backgrounds, including trauma and mental health challenges. Through experiential activities with horses, I am able to support significant change, growth, and development. The benefit is that participants enjoy the work and become engaged and connected in the change process.’ Tama Green – Principal Practitioner

Attendees find these camps incredibly enjoyable and rewarding. As well as having a lot of fun and learning a lot about horses (I could talk all day about horses), we are working at a deeper level of psycho-social development and change at the same time. The horses and I simply support Attendees’ personal development and change process and allow them to come up with their own solutions.

Rachael Gibson
EPI Model EAL Practitioner

I provide a holistic approach to wellbeing through my work with horses and often combine other energy balancing techniques and therapies such as reiki, reflexology, guided visualisations and energy work.

I have been in private practice for over 10 years in helping people come back into balance and in 2017 trained with the EPI to incorporate horse wisdom into my toolbox of modalities.

A unique experience I have created is a 45 minute equine assisted learning session with the horses, followed by a 45 minute healing session on a massage table outside in a beautiful garden setting with the horses still present. In the winter months the healing session moves into my treatment room inside, out of the elements.

I work with my herd of 4 horses to provide self awareness, connection and help people be the best version of themselves. I also help clients connection in both their spiritual and personal development. Each session is targeted around the individual client and what they are currently working through.

I love working with people who are working through anxiety and depression, as I have a lot of experience with these conditions, and I know how beneficial this work can be in helping people being resourced as they navigate their way back to equilibrium.

Infinite Potential Equine Assisted Learning

I have a deep love and connection with all animals and nature and bring this to my practice. My training brings a gestalt methodology approach of present moment mindfulness and an experience of the here and nowness for clients with horses. It is therapeutic in nature and helps clients discover a deeper sense of what they maybe feeling emotionally and somatically through their body while being in contact with the horses. Working in this way is especially helpful when working with any anxiety, trauma or other issues.

I have a small herd of miniature horses I therapeutically work with in paddocks. Clients love being around the miniature horses as they tend to be less intimidating than normal size horses, they all have their own individual qualities that evoke, safety, respect, support, grounding, regulation and holding for clients.

I love facilitating this work because of the richness and therapeutic value clients experience. Children particularly find the work very engaging. Working with supporting adults and children (under12) and Workshops for adults.

Connections – With Equine Assisted Learning

Hi, my name is Tarnya, and I live and work in the beautiful Gloucester valley in NSW. I have loved, cherished and been grateful to have had horses in my life from a very early age. They were my saving grace throughout my life!

In my Equine Assisted Learning practice I work mainly with women and children, to bring out the beauty and uniqueness that is within.

Horses play a very important role in my work, as they support unconditionally and without judgement. I have found people can quickly become at ease and work through limiting beliefs, emotions and situations in the natural farm environment, in a relaxed, safe, and effective manner.

The horses and I work with individuals, families, and groups offering private sessions, groups and workshops/retreats. We can tailor specialised programs to suit your needs, or you can follow our unique and effective targeted programs.

I am a very passionate supporter of remote and regional women, and therefore also offer sessions via an online format.

So Morph into your true beauty and fly butterfly fly!

Horses run in my veins. Growing up with horses, I have always had an inner sense of the unique and special wisdom that they offer us.

My vision is to empower as many people as possible to heal, grow and connect with themselves and the world around them in a healthy way. Through this work, and as an active volunteer with the Sunshine Coast Riding for the Disabled spanning many years, I have personally seen the unique power that horses have in affecting change.

My team of horses and I create a safe, non-judgemental space for people from all walks of life and age groups to have an experiential opportunity with horses in nature and the fresh air to increase awareness and to explore themselves and their world. A space for connection and acceptance. To allow what is there to be there. For the people that I see, the beauty of this work is that it doesn’t feel like work. I love being out with the horses in my jeans and boots while working with others to reach their goals.

Jezey Wolf
Wolf Pack Health and Wellness
EPI model EAP Practitioner

Jezey, originally from rural Queensland, felt a deep connection to nature from a young age. Despite a successful career in high-level marketing in Melbourne, her heart was always drawn to the wilderness, particularly horses. Approximately five years ago, Jezey’s life took a transformative turn. Recognizing the call of her roots, she followed her heart back to Queensland. Years spent within the corporate world had granted Jezey firsthand observation of the pervasive lack of joy, inner peace, and authentic connection that many individuals consider the norm. Now, her passion lies in assisting people of all ages to rediscover their connection to the Earth, rekindle their inner spirit, and, with the guidance of horses, uncover their truest joy in life, whatever form it may take.

The passionate team at Wolf Pack Health and Wellness are dedicated to helping those in the community to reconnect with the earth, each other and themselves. We work with the natural world and the animals to help facilitate each person’s change for the better. We offer Equine Assisted Psychotherapy, Equine Assisted Learning & Personal Development, Nature and Room Based Counselling,  Retreats, Leadership Training and Team Development and IFS Therapy.

Having studied with Equine Psychotherapy Institute as an Equine Assisted Learning Practitioner, my previous life coaching mind was blown away by how this learning model enhanced the personal development experience. It helps people learn, grow, reflect and increase self-awareness in so many different ways. I now work out of a beautiful space in Thornlands QLD as an Equine Assisted Learning Practitioner with special interests in:

– Self-development post injury/significant life changes/Involuntary workplace adjustments.
– Corporate world – Team building and leadership from the heart
– Adolescents and Youth – To discover who they really are within
– ASD – Learning and growing self from a different point of view

My two beautiful hoof babies Fox and Missy are excited to meet you and take this journey with you. You are the expert in your life and I am here to guide you to find yourself through the process of EAL.

EPI model EAL Practitioner
Classroom Music Teacher & Vocal Teacher

With over 30 years experience teaching music to thousands of children in South East Queensland, my focus on finding the authentic voice to express feelings has shifted from singing to working with my first and deepest love, the horses. Knowing how they helped me to find regulation and connection in this busy world, I know they can inspire the same in others. In a quiet valley in Upper Brookfield I offer Equine Assisted Learning opportunities for individuals and small groups with an equine supported focus on unstructured play and creative arts as the basis for exploring feelings and developing self-regulation and self-expression in a positive way.

Offering a safe space to children and adolescents to express their authentic selves, learn to celebrate their strengths and support their own growth and happiness.

Louise Atkinson
Whispering Sands Horse Play Centre
ACA Registered Counsellor, EPI Trainer and supervisor, Mindful Horsemanship Practitioner
EPI Model EAP/EAL Practitioner and EAC Practitioner

I have been involved with horses since I was 10 years old and am experienced in many equine disciplines. I have been a Natural Horsemanship Instructor since 1996 where I have been helping people understand their horses so they can develop better relationships and work together harmoniously. This usually meant the human needed to change both mentally, emotionally and spiritually. This inspired me to look into EAL so that I can help people that don’t have their own horses to become the best versions of themselves that they can be. I am also passionate about helping those that are less fortunate to become who they want to be.

I live in Bullsbrook with my small herd of horses who ably assist my clients to become aware of whatever they need to become aware of in their journey of self-discovery and personal growth. I love what my herd offer each person, and I never know what their offer might be. They really surprise me sometimes with their intuitive behaviours. It keeps the work alive and interesting for me.

I work with individuals, teenager to adult, women’s groups and corporate groups. I specialise in addiction recovery support as well as trauma therapy. I offer the EPI model practitioner training in Western Australia. I have developed a business essentials program to help new practitioners start up their own businesses. I also offer individual support through Skype and telephone for those that are unable to be with me in person.

Louise works with her small herd of horses to support clients (over 12 years old) in developing awareness and growth.
